Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and [add your legal entity / business name here] ("Mira", "we", "us") governing your use of the Mira app and this website. By creating an account or using Mira, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Mira.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Mira. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and, if you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
Your account
You may sign in to Mira using Google or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the account you use to sign in and for all activity that occurs under your Mira account. Notify us promptly at support@trymira.beauty if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
License to use Mira
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Mira app on a device you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use.
Your photos and content
You keep ownership of the photos you submit. By submitting a photo for skin analysis or a makeup preview, you grant us a limited, temporary license to transmit that photo to our AI processing provider solely to generate the result you requested, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not retain your photos on our servers, and we do not use them to train AI models or for advertising.
You are responsible for the photos and information you submit. Only upload photos of yourself, or of others who have given you permission. Do not upload images of anyone without their consent, and do not upload illegal, harmful, or non-consensual content.
AI-generated results
Mira uses third-party AI models to generate skin analysis, makeup previews, tutorial steps, and product suggestions. These results are AI-generated approximations for informational and personal beauty planning purposes only. They are not professional, medical, dermatological, or purchasing advice, may be inaccurate or differ from real-world application, and are not guaranteed to match every skin tone, skin type, lighting condition, or retailer's actual inventory or pricing.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to bypass usage limits, rate limits, or security controls.
- Do not use Mira to harass, impersonate, or exploit another person, or to create misleading images of someone without their consent.
- Do not reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the underlying models or source code behind Mira.
- Do not use Mira for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Apple's or Google's platform terms.
Third-party services
Mira relies on third-party services to operate, including Google Firebase (authentication, backend, and crash reporting) and OpenAI (AI image analysis and generation). Your use of Mira is also subject to the terms of the app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) you downloaded it from. We are not responsible for the independent acts or policies of these third parties.
Subscriptions and purchases
Mira includes a free trial of 3 AI-generated look previews per device, each marked with a small watermark, so you can try the app before subscribing. Beyond the free trial, Mira offers an optional "Mira Pro" subscription that unlocks a higher monthly generation quota without a watermark. Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, using RevenueCat to manage entitlements. We do not process your payment details ourselves.
- Price, billing period, and included quota are shown before you purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew for the same period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your payment method will be charged for renewal through your app store account within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Canceling stops future renewals but does not refund the current period.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their own refund policies, not by us directly.
Intellectual property
Mira, including its app design, brand, and underlying software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of our intellectual property to you, other than the limited license to use the app described above.
Termination
You may stop using Mira and delete your account at any time; see our Delete Account page. We may suspend or terminate your access to Mira if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, misused the service, or created risk or legal exposure for us.
Disclaimer of warranties
Mira is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Mira will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated results will be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of Mira, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [add your governing jurisdiction here], without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless a different law is required by your local consumer protection rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as Mira evolves. We will update the effective date above when we do, and for material changes we will provide additional notice, such as an in-app notification. Continued use of Mira after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
